Musa Black Balbisiana / Black Thai / Thailand Black

Very nice collectors banana plant. Initially imported from Thailand. Dark black pseudostem. More pronounced with exposure to sunlight. The fruits, if pollinated, may perhaps be seeded & non-edible.
Usually we ship fat healthy pups, grown outdoors, cut from a mother plant. However, the current stock are of "tissue culture" origin. The current stock of plants are small but will grow into large beautiful plants in no time. The TC's are green at first but will turn black with a short amount of age and exposure to the sun. The price reflects the small size - a size not typical of banana plants from our shop. Photo is of a larger plant, yours will be much smaller and still green.
